EXTERNAL ACADEMIC APPOINTEES (JLA)
Academic appointments are a method of connecting the university with prominent figures whose contributions allow the university to provide more effective and comprehensive services via academic development of teaching and learning, network expansion, research and innovation development, and many more.
The process of academic appointments is administered by the University’s Academic Appointments Committee (Jawatankuasa Lantikan Akademia), with powers delegated by the University Senate. The committee is chaired by a member of the Senate and members comprise of professors and senior lecturers from various fields of expertise. Currently there are five (5) main categories as follows:
