The office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) – DVC (A&I) [Malay: Timbalan Naib Canselor (Akademik dan Antarabangsa) – TNC (A&A)] is located at the left wing of the fourth floor of UiTM Chancellory building. It oversees many of the important academic aspects of the University such as:

• Academic Governance
• Academic Strategic Planning
• Academic Policy Formulation
• Control and Monitoring of Academic Policy Implementation
• Leadership and University Scholarship
• Academic Staff Development
• Academic Succession Planning
• Campus Autonomy
• Collegiate (Nexus) of Faculties

In the Academic Governance of UiTM, DVC (A&I) is the chairperson for the following Tier 1 Councils:

• University Curriculum Council (Majlis Kurikulum Universiti – MKU)
• University Examination Council (Majlis Peperiksaan Universiti – MPU)
• Council of Postgraduate Studies (Majlis Pengajian Siswazah – MPS)

The DVC (A&I) holds regular discourse with the following groups of key-people in the University’s academic circle:

• Council of Professors (Majlis Profesor)
• Council of Deans (Majlis Dekan)
• Academic Deputies (Timbalan Dekan (Akademik) & Timbalan Rektor (Akademik)

Periodic meetings are held between the DVC (A&I) with the group of Deans, Academic Deputy Deans, Academic Deputy Rectors and Academic Assistant Registrars. The meetings prove to be a fruitful platform that acts as Incubators for many innovative and effective approaches in managing the academic aspects of the university. The regular meetings are:
